The absolute lameness of this cannot be understated. Even though words are failing me, I will attempt to move forward in ridiculing this as it so richly deserves. Although, what is the fun in shooting fish in a barrel?
This is a real ‘Emergency Room’ sign over a real emergency room that is open and accepting patients. They have a small problem with birds nesting in the sign. This has gone on for years, and various methods of deterrent have been employed. This is the culmination of the efforts of all of the employees that work inside. All of these people have degrees. All of them work in a scientific field.
I would like to mention that hospital administration has no doubt been walking by this monstrosity for years. Apparently it has never occurred to the dozens of educated people who work here to simply replace the sign with a flat rectangular one. No, that would make too much sense. We couldn’t do that in the Hollar. We have to turn the thing into a run down, ghetto-fied laughing stock that is sure to inspire confidence and reassurance to all the sick and the injured who pass under it.
I was trying to think of something I have seen that comes close to this. Then I thought of the People of Walmart website. And yes, Walmart is popular in the Hollar. Although I should probably mention that there is not a Walmart in this district. Yes, if there is a God, he has forsaken this area that much. The fine citizens of the Hollar have to drive out of our county to experience the magic of this logical end of consumerism. By the way, pink camouflaged do-rags are on aisle nine, just in case you were wondering. Please enjoy the selected pictures from the People of Walmart website that remind me of the taxpayers I labor to serve.

that goat is whiskey tango hottt!!!

The hospital administration tries to avoid layoffs as a way to cut costs.
They are creative and decide that starting a squab farm might be a good idea.
Does anyone appreciate this?
No – ridicule and retailing humor.
What’s a highly paid administrator to do in these tough economic times?
